The Hamptons Farm Estate Wedding Open Day

On Sunday July 18th, we opened our doors for our first Wedding Open Day and introduced our brand-new luxury destination venue to Perth’s engaged couples and wedding industry!

Much anticipation, planning and preparation went into this event, with extraordinary effort from all our featured vendors and suppliers.  The HFE Wedding Open Day was planned, coordinated and styled exclusively by Lara of White Events.

White Events is a creative event design and management studio, servicing weddings throughout Western Australia.  For over 20 years, Lara White has been transforming spaces to create magnificent weddings that are seamless from beginning to end, and we were beyond fortunate to have her guiding our Open Day!

Lara’s design concept incorporated the natural warm tones of our rural landscape and a cool-girl vibe, captured to perfection by fine art photographer Jemma Keech.

Featuring for a second time, the beautiful Leeuwin Sperry Tent from Tp and Co provided cover from the elements.  The Sperry Tent was adorned with beaded chandeliers that stayed on brand with our beachy Hamptons aesthetic and dainty festoon lights courtesy of Micktric Events.  White Events styled long tables with crisp white tablecloths, with cute striped linen napkins and scalloped dinnerwares from Hire Society.   The Harper rattan dining chairs from Heart Strings Hire & Style tied in the neutral warm colour palette that perfectly complimented the earthy florals, impeccably designed by Wallflower Studio.

Within the Sperry Tent space, other featured vendors included The Cake & I with decadent dessert tastings, and ambiance was provided by musical duo Then Again

Throughout the whole day, we had a photoshoot running with two stunning models, Kiera and Alison with her groom Billy, both dressed to the 9s in spectacular Zanzis Bridal couture and a tuxedo contributed by Suit Vault.  Both models were dolled up by the best in the business, The Pretty Parlour.  Jemma and Lara both gave their undivided attention to this styled shoot, ensuring its exceptional quality.

At our Entrance Ceremony location, was a beautiful four post arbour from Heart Strings Hire & Style with Wallflower Studio’s magic again showcased with rust toned orchids and creamy roses.  Hire Society provided their Amalfi chairs for the ceremony audience seating.

On our Verandah were our other featured vendors who we were overjoyed to have exhibiting with us; ENVY Event Group set the atmosphere, The Perth Wedding Fairy and Kiss Me You Fool both offered their celebrant services, with Confetti & Co exhibiting as Wedding Planners.  Jemma Keech displayed her beautiful portfolio of fine art photography and Infinite Productions showcased their videography services.  Menu stationery in the Sperry Tent and large signage detailing all the contributors in each zone was expertly designed by Paper Fusion.

Out in our Pool Area, was another stunning ceremony arrangement by Wallflower Studio, who combined lovely white florals with layered candles in our Fireplace.  Heart Strings Hire & Style had their new Harper rattan bar chairs on display with their matching Rattan Bars, and a luxurious champagne tower sat confidently in the centre, contributed by Euphoric Events.  Our attendees were spoilt with delicious catering by Ultimo Catering & Events, with exceptional service from their wonderful staff keeping everyone happy and fed.

Out on our lawn, Glamping Co Perth and Luxury Loos offered their excellent services for our attendees on the day and for future events and weddings.

Our attendees were given opportunities for a guided tour through the Hamptons Farm Estate House during the Open Day.  They were able to appreciate the grandeur of the jewel in Indah Island’s crown, and to consider our accommodation packages for their own weddings.

We were blown away with the feedback, positive responses and large crowds that came to experience the Hamptons Farm Estate Wedding Open Day.  We were delighted to meet so many of our devoted followers, future clients and new industry friends.

To every vendor and contributor, we take our hats off to you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for creating such a successful and beautiful Open Day with us!

Perth’s brand new luxury destination venue

When you dream of a Hamptons wedding, you instantly think of a luxurious atmosphere and a resort style experience.  But this is not a genre of venue that has been readily available to Perth’s wedding and event industry… until now!

The Hamptons Farm Estate is truly unique.  With its classic American exterior, its delightful touch of the Bahamas in Natalee Bowen’s interior styling and its heritage elements from the original homestead, you’ll be completely mesmerised.

Sitting upon our beautiful West Australians rural landscape, this Estate transports you to the Hamptons with its soaring white ceilings, traditional design with eclectic styling, while offering breathtaking outback views.

As a wedding and event venue, The Hamptons Farm Estate offers a serene environment and a unique experience.  This was the concept for our branding photoshoot with the beautiful and talented Katie Grant.  Katie’s photography is renowned for her soft romantic style, and she has been internationally published in Vogue, BRIDES, Harper’s Bazaar, Martha Stewart Weddings, Once Wed, Style Me Pretty, Green Wedding Shoes, White Magazine, European Wedding Guide, Hello May Magazine and countless others!

Our vision for this shoot included dining tables that were whimsical, layered, and still resonated with Indah Island’s style.

In partnership with TP and Co, you can experience an iconic Hamptons wedding with your reception in their breathtaking Sperry Tent.  Stunning floral art from Poppy’s Flowers set the scene, surrounded by Indah Island’s white coral, marble statues with layered candles.  Our alternative round dining set featured Indah Island’s iconic blue linen dining chairs, a delightfully patterned tablecloth and giant clam shells adorned with peonies and soft florals centred the look.  Dinnerwares and crystal glassware were contributed by Side Serve, and romantic vintage style menus from Papelle Stationery.

In addition to Indah Island’s classic verandah lounge sets, Heart Strings Hire & Style provided the all-time-favourite cross back dining chairs with matching bar stools.  Their panelled bar was layered with Indah Island’s blue and white ginger jars and their white rattan bar was ideally located in our Outdoor Entertaining area, accessorised with decadent glassware and oceanic features.

Our breathtaking brides were dressed in white by Made With Love Bridal, and a truly unique couture gown of light blue silk and hand sewn details was showcased, courtesy of Brides By Design in Mt Lawley.   Their exquisite make-up and hair were artistically arranged by MUA extraordinaire, Connor Adams

We are overjoyed to be able to offer this unique location as a luxury destination venue. Our Wedding Open Day will be a grand showcase of everything our venue offers for events and accommodation.  Register your attendance to our Open Day here.

The Hamptons Styling Masterclass

Wow! What an incredible, successful and delightful event our Masterclass was! We were fortunate to be able to offer both a live event and a digital version of the Hamptons Styling Masterclass for those who could not travel interstate. We had so much interest that we wanted to make it available to as many guests as possible!

The Hamptons Farm Estate was primed and prepped down to the tiniest details for our lovely guests to come and explore. Upon arrival, they were greeted with a glass of champagne, a warm hug and an enthusiastic atmosphere!

I lead our lovely guests on a tour of the Hamptons Farm Estate, starting in the South Wing and leading them through each room. We took time to discuss all the elements and my design choices. Our guests were full of awe, curiosity and questions!

We concluded the tour in the Great Room where our guests were met with a decadent grazing lunch. Layered with bright linens and antique dinnerwares, the dining table was full of delightful and eclectic elements.

After lunch, we moved back to the Retreat Room and I took the ladies through the styling process. I demonstrated how to coordinate little details throughout the home for a consistent yet unique look, and broke down the process of styling with layers.

It was wonderful to include our virtual Masterclass guests in our Q&A session, as I provided answers to some of the questions that arose throughout the tour and we were able to have entertaining conversations between both groups.

Wrapping up our magical day, our beautiful guests were sent home with luxury gift boxes that were bursting with amazing products and unique treasures that truly represent the Indah Island style.

It was an incredible experience, not only for our guests, but for myself, to see the delight and wonder of the Hamptons Farm Estate through other’s eyes. We are looking forward to being able to offer more live and digital Masterclasses in the future! If you would like to experience the Hamptons Styling Masterclass for yourself, please email us your interest.

Hear from some of our beautiful guests about their experience at the Hamptons Styling Masterclass.

Dear Natalee, Thank you so much for an unforgettable day of wonder and creative learning and thinking. On arrival at the Hampton’s Farm Estate I was greeted with a warm welcome and taken away to another world full of beautiful textures, colours, glistening candles with beautiful notes of the Bahamian islands. I felt like I learnt a lot of good tips and tricks for my future styling and shopping adventures while enjoying the luxurious surroundings of the home. All of the ladies felt very special sitting down for lunch at a table set for royalty while enjoying delicious food and sipping champagne. We were given a gift box filled with gorgeous pieces that I will treasure from the day. I really appreciated and enjoyed every moment of the masterclass! Thank you Beautiful Natalee and your team for a very special day sharing your knowledge and home with us, it was lovely to meet you I left feeling like I had won a golden ticket and now I’m officially a Hampton’s style master ha! I will be back for a another class for sure!

Lara

I had the privilege and pleasure of attending Styling Masterclass at Hamptons Farm Estate In March 2021. The hospitality of Natalee Bowen, husband Mark, and Georgia, – creative design assistant extraordinaire, was extraordinary. We were welcomed into home of Natalee & Mark as if we were old friends. The styling masterclass was conducted throughout the day, with Natalee giving a walkthrough tour of Hamptons Farm Estate, answering our multitude of questions & showing how each and every room was styled. No area was off limits, we were welcome to take photos throughout the day. I learned so much about styling and interior design as Natalee was generous with her knowledge and design expertise. The highlight for me (one of many) was Natelee showing how she styles from the ground up, starting with a bare room – to finished design, a valued insight into design process. A special mention to the most amazing Georgia, the gourmet lunch you organized was delicious, enjoyed by everyone. Thankyou so very much to Indah Island & Team for a fabulous day at the breathtaking Hamptons Farm Estate.

Bug Free Living at the Hamptons Farm Estate

When we are at the Hamptons Farm Estate, we feel like we are in heaven… that is until we get a little bite from the annoying mosquitoes that live in the Australian outback with us!

As it starts to warm up, now is the time to start thinking about how best to protect yourself against these pesky insects. The great news is that there are a number of products available to help keep bugs at bay when indoors or outside.

If your family enjoys spending long summer days outside like mine do, stylish and natural protection from mosquitoes is a must-have! I am usually very sceptical of citronella candles for their bitter scent, but the Waxworks Candles each smell divine!

The Waxworks Monstera Leaf Design Concrete Potisblended with lime and citronella essential oils which function as a natural repellent against mosquitoes. It’s tropical textural design and scent is sure to bring a little slice of paradise to your backyard.

The Waxworks Leaf Design Concrete Potwill keep the pesky bugs away while you enjoy balmy summer evenings. The candle combines neutral on-trend design with citronella essential oil, pomegranate, and cranberry fragrance for a fruity, sweet aromatic experience.

You can purchase these beauties at any Bunnings Warehouse, and enjoy a sweet smelling, pest free evening in our beautiful Australian backyards.

Outdoor Living with Osier Belle

Creating a luxurious resort-like experience was our goal when designing the Hamptons Farm Estate entertaining area.  In almost every inch of the space, you can see the gorgeous range of outdoor furniture from Osier Belle.  We have chaise sun loungers by the pool, two hanging daybeds, two dining sets and an outdoor lounge arrangement centred around the beautiful fireplace, all from Osier Belle!  These furniture pieces are accessorised with The Textile Design Studio’s upholstered cushions that come in the most incredible outdoor fabrics.

If you are fortunate to have an outdoor living space in your home, whether it’s small balcony or blend of decks or poolside with lawn, creating an environment you can retreat into requires a number of essential needs.

Whatever your challenge, ensuring your outdoor furniture is truly made for the outdoors is critical.  Your chosen furniture pieces and cushions must be able to withstand our harsh Australian elements.

When designing outdoor spaces, I consider these five essentials;

  1. Continually storing cushions is not luxurious or indulgent, just frustrating and time-consuming – not to mention, your outdoor space looks dejected and half dressed.  When you buy outdoor furniture, ensure it has been specifically designed to stay outdoors in all weather, including the cushions.  It is an expensive option but pays off for an ever-welcoming zone to instantly relax in.
  2. Another essential consideration is the size of the furniture.  Too big or too small will always feel wrong and subconsciously awkward.  Opt for customisation of size to ensure everything is perfectly balanced and made for the space.
  3. When deciding on materials, be brave and mix in a combination of wicker colours, fabrics, timbers and pop in some concrete for a contemporary nod.  This shows confidence in your styling and distances your outdoor setting from that one-stop shop showroom look.
  4. If buying timber, make sure it is of excellent quality; ask to see the certification to ensure it has not be felled from illegal plantations and ask to see photos of customer settings that have been outdoors for at least one year.
  5. Finally, mood lighting can transform any space into an enhancing, magical place to entertain and relax in.  Lanterns packed with fairy lights create a beautiful statement piece and, if you put on a timer, you never have to worry about them being on to welcome you.   Customised outdoor ceiling shades mimic what you naturally have indoors, further labelling the area as an extension of the home. Clusters of candles are always a winner; who doesn’t like a romantic candle?
